• McDonald’s questionable ethics
Cuban flexes on Musk
The start: On Twitter, Elon Musk said “Very few Americans seem to realize the severity of the situation” to Marc Andreessen’s “Yes.” comment to Saagar Enjeti’s statement- “The entire US elite system is ditching merit in favor of an affirmative action regime. No test scores for college, no LSAT for law school, soon no MCAT for med school”.
The pointer: Cuban’s response to Musk- “When was the last time you asked a job applicant or founder their SAT score? Kids learn differently today.”
Lastly: Cuban concludes with- “Certain professions have knowledge base requirements, as they should..”
Crypto bank crumbling on Wall Street
When? On March 1, 2023- Silvergate Capital Corp. announced in a regulatory filing that its survival was now at stake.
The delay: The bank started by saying that it could not file its annual document, usually known as Securities and Exchange Commission Form 10-K, for the 2022 fiscal year on time because it has to review its books.
The audit: Silvergate states they are “currently analyzing certain regulatory and other inquiries and investigations that are pending with respect to the company.”
McDonald takes from Wendy’s
When’dy? In 2022, Wendy’s strawberry lemonade was ranked No. 1 on Foods Kitchen for best fast-food chain lemonade. It was also rated No. 1 by the Odyssey under Lifestyle as the best fast food restaurant lemonade, back in 2018.
Apparently: Margins on fast food beverages are high, so if one was looking for a way to increase profits, drink menu offerings would be a good start.
The current take: McDonald’s classic lemonade isn’t available nationwide, yet. Only time will tell if the classic lemonade will roll out to all McDonald’s locations.
